MY WORK

For more than a decade, I have designed and conducted ethnographic research in Rio de Janeiro, brazil, examining the intersections of race, gender, identity, belonging, urban space, and socioeconomic inequities. My work draws on a number of ethnographic approaches, including multisited and collaborative research, participatory action methods, digital ethnography, participant observation, interviews, and autoethnography.

WHAT I DO

I design ethnographic writing workshops intended to build empathy, encourage critical delf-reflection, and foster meaningful dialogue across difference. Through guided writing exercises, collaborative discission, and storytelling, participants learn to tune in closely to everyday experiences and to think more deeply about social circumstances and connections.
